The Centrale As

Project “Centrale As” connects Northern Friesland. In addition to the improvement of the infrastructure, conservation of the landscape and the viability of the local communities also play an important role. Our design is about the crossing of Prinses Margriet canal near Burgum. All car traffic passes through an aqueduct. Cyclists and pedestrians use the bridge with great views over the open landscape all around. This is a win-win for everybody: the impact on the landscape is minimal, Burgum will be relieved from traffic and noise, cyclists have all the space they need.
