Like the concurrently designed Kloppersingel bridge this bridge is a 21st century variant of the classic Singel bridge with its typical romantic aura. The bridge crosses the Singel waters with a single arch. As the difference between “center” and “suburb” is not palpable in this location, the bridge is fully symmetrical. The construction is a frame of interconnected tubes. Together they form a rigid and light space frame allowing for easy passage of ships and barges.
